Angela Carol Brodman (nee McLean)

Brodman Angela obit pic InPixio

On August 1, 2020 a beautiful angel got her wings.

Angie passed away suddenly and left to mourn are her loving husband Tom and her beautiful daughter Rylee. Also left to mourn is her adoring parents Al & Carol McLean and sister Alana McLean.

Angie was born Dec 2, 1965 in Nelson. The McLean’s moved to Hudson Hope in 1975.

The family moved back to Castlegar in 1980 and is where Angie would call home. She graduated from Stanley Humphreys in 1984 and met Tom that same year. After high school Angie worked at Johnny’s Grocery in Robson where her love for people would shine through. Not much later, she started her career at Safeway.  Her beautiful personality and her infectious smile would have people waiting in line just to go through her till.

Tom & Ang eloped to Vancouver Island and were married on July 12, 1989 at a small ceremony in Ladysmith. The wedding was a fun filled camping weekend on Galiano Island with friends.

On January 2, 1990 their family was complete and their hearts were full when Rylee Jean was born.

Life was always filled with camping, snowmobiling, family vacations in BC, Hawaii and Mexico. Angie loved the warmth of the sun.

Tom, Ang and Rylee lived at their family home on Meadowlark Lane until Rylee graduated from high school. It was shortly after, in 2011, that they found their paradise in Pass Creek. Angie was able to truly enjoy her love of gardening and finally have horses back in her life.

We all know Angie for the beautiful person she was.  She loved her family, her pets and spending time with her friends. Her laugh and her energy would light up the room. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

She is also survived by her in-laws Rosemary Allan, Kathy Brodman, Chris Brodman, Shelley Dyer and families.

The family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and that she is with loved ones who got their angel wings before her.

Thank you so much to everyone for the outpouring of love and support. We love you all so much and we will carry Angie in our hearts forever.

My condolences go out to Angie’s family and friends. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a special, bright light in this world.
She bought my first horse Will, and gave
him the best home he could ever have in his later years. I’m thankful he went to such a sweet family and a wonderful caring soul as Angie was.
    May she Rest In Peace.

Tom and Rylee, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is a huge hole a beautiful soul like Ang leaves behind. Such an amazing mother, wife, friend, sister, and daughter. That knowing look in her beautiful eyes that let you know she understood you, her joyful bubbly way, her delicious cooking, her cute little Birkenstock’s, her love for her family, both human and furry, her beauty, she really was very, very special. She sure was someone I loved getting to have as a friend, and I will miss her very much. Wish you guys and all of us got to have her longer here with us, on earth, but I feel confident we will all be reunited in heaven. I have peace knowing she is joyful and well and we will see her again, I hope you can find peace too. Love you guys and will keep you in my prayers as you grieve and heal. Big hugs.

The best nine years of my life was when Angie was part of it. It’s been many years since but the love for my friend and our time together has never waned. The memories, the laughs, the friendship, the life we shared, I’ve never had anything like it since. It never occurred to me that someday those days would be irretrievable, forever. I’m profoundly sad, my heart aches for Tom, Rylee, Al, Carol, Dan & Jamie, and her Goddaughter Annie. I’m so very sorry for everyone who’s feeling her loss. She was a beautiful soul, and now, Forever Young. Rest in peace girlfriend, I’ll never forget you.

Tom, Rylee, Carol, Alana and Al. We feel fortunate to have had the absolute pleasure of calling Ang our friend for so many years. That smile and genuine affection she shared whenever she bumped into us was a day maker everytime. Ang will be sorrily missed by anyone she ever spent time with. My deepest condolences and prayers to the family.. you must be so heart broken. My memories of Angie are from when she was a young girl living in Hudson’s Hope but we shared the same home town of Castlegar. She will always be a beautiful young girl in my memories. I can’t believe you’re gone.
