It was with great anticipation that I first met Mr.William Berkey some years ago when his grandaughter, Brandi, and I travelled to Kelowna for a visit. Mr. Berkey emulated the qualities of a gentleman; he was firm, polite, well mannered, warm and with a sense of humor bordering on sarcasm. My level of regret for your family’s loss is coupled with my gratitude for having been given the opportunity to meet this great man you call your Patriarch.
It is a true honor to have known you Mr. Berkey and trust the family will carry on with your virtue.

My deepest condolences to the entire Berkey family for the loss of your father, grandfather, brother, uncle and treasured friend. Kelly, Bob and Bill I am so sorry for your loss. May warm memories of your Dad offer you some comfort during the difficult days and the days when you miss him lots. I would like to think he has re-joined your Mom in peace and love. I am so happy I got to know Bill during my much younger days when Kelly and I spent a lot of time together on oh so many adventures. Your Dad was always welcoming and warm and quick to share a laugh and I will always remember his kindness. My heartfelt condolences and big hugs to all of you.

My mother, Sherry Ferguson, passed on the news from Evelyn. I’m so sorry to hear that your father/grandfather has passed away. Mum & Fergie (in Campbell River) enjoyed their company when they were living in Black Creek. They used to stop by and have a cup of coffee. I went up to the farm to see them, and Roseanne gave me an afghan (I gave her wool in return and she carried on!). Bill was so kind to Mum when Fergie was ill. He offered to drive whenever Mum needed it, and she took him up on it at a critical time. Their kindness is not forgotten. My condolences to all.
