1927 – 2020

Our Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep at Castleview Care Centre on January 24, 2020.

Fay was predeceased by her loving husband Hal, of 50 years, and 2 brothers Raymond and Merle.

She is survived by her 8 children, Judy (Mick), Helen (Don), Brian (Eileen), Patti (Ken), Lorna (Maurice), Bev (Lorne), Eleanor (Ron), Leanne (Nick), and her 2 sisters Mary and Gladys. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Hal and Fay moved from Saskatchewan to BC in 1947, then to Robson in 1948 where they raised their family. In her later years Mom enjoyed crocheting, knitting and also took great joy in beating anyone at crib, canasta and any other card game. She was a member of the Robson Ladies Evening Group for many years, and was a member of the Robson and Castlegar Seniors. Mom will be forever missed and in our hearts.

We would like to thank Dr. Ankenbauer for his great care of our Mom for many years. We would also like to thank the staff of Castlewood Village and Castleview Care Centre for their wonderful care of our Mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 9, 2020.

To everyone in the Belbeck and Bankert family. It is with great sadness that I write this as I know how much each of you love and will miss Gramma B. I smile because I know that she is now dancing with her husband in heaven and is telling him how much she has missed him. Thank you gramma for always treating me and sister and brother as your grandchildren . With love Jody

My sincere sympathy to the Belbeck Family. I remember your Mom from the 50’s…a nice lady that made me feel comfortable in her home. Judy..you took me there for visits and your Mom had made lemonade, from real lemons! It was so good! The things that we remember from our past, huh? She certainly had a long full life and three generations to love her. She was indeed blessed, as were you all, to have her for so many years.
