September 28, 1962 – October 30, 2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Teresa Jmaiff Schuepfer on October30, 2017 at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. Teresa was born in Nelson, BC on September 28, 1962 to parents Eli and Mable Jmaiff.
Teresa loved gardening, going out on the Arrow Lakes on their house boat, camping out at Kootenay Lake, and vacuuming her house. Her brother nicknamed her “Electrolux”.
Teressa is survived by her mother Mable Jmaiff, brother Robert (Janet), nephew Christopher, niece Amber, brother-in-law Gib Schuepfer and dear friend Marvin Nygaard, Jordan and Brendon Nygaard, as well as two puppies that she loved dearly, Abby and Mindy, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband Gerald Schuepfer (2015), her father Eli Jmaiff (2006) and her dog Teka.
On behalf of all of Teresa’s family we would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital for their care. Teresa had friends that were like trying to count jelly beans in a 5 gallon pail. So many, and she loved them all. But there are two jelly beans that stand out and helped her through many doctor visits and trying times – retired nurses Joan Mason and Shirly Saliken, and many more thanks to friends that were there. Teresa was a fighter and at most times you never knew that there was an illness. We as family and friends will miss her forever but we will never forget what she meant to us all. Rest in peace Teres!
