William (Bill) Graham

March 8, 1945 to November 22, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Graham, who succumbed to his brave battle with cancer this past November.

Bill is survived by his children Bill (Brenda), Tina (Simon), Steve (Lynnette), his grandchildren, Rob (Christine), Jesse, Jordan (Ben), Ashley (Eric), Gracelynn, Emily and Meghan, and his great grandchildren Chase, Rylan, Travis and Octavia. He is also survived by his siblings Jim and John Graham, Sandy Tait, Pat Madokoro, and Donna Sterne. He is predeceased by his loving wife Kathren, his brother Walter and his parents William Graham and Lillian Johnson (Larry).

Bill was a hardworking family man and loving father. He married Kathren in 1965 in Ladner, BC, and moved into their first home in Surrey, later moving to Castlegar where they settled and raised their family. Bill worked for the City of Castlegar Maintenance Department until his retirement in 2005.

In his spare time Bill could be found gardening or landscaping and caring for his many rescue dogs. His family and friends will always remember him as a strong and very generous person.

The Graham Family would like to thank the Staff at KBRH for taking such wonderful care of Bill during his last weeks.

A Celebration of life will be held at Robson Community Hall at 2:00 on April 27, 2019. Donations to the SPCA in lieu of flowers would be very much appreciated.

My brother was/is a very underestimated man. He had a heart that was larger than life. A devoted husband, dad, grandfather, son and brother. He went above and beyond for his family. He was always there for any and all who needed him. He has made me laugh wiped my tears and showed strength and kindness throughout every stage of his life. I’m so sad for all of our family. Nephew Bill I’m so proud of you for all the devotion you showed my brother. To the rest of Bills immediate family my heart breaks for your loss.
